1. Cutting Services

Plate Shearing

Our 12-foot Shear can shear material as thin as 2mm thick in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum sheet, and up to 14mm thick for carbon steel and aluminum plate or 12mm thick for stainless steel.  Set-up and cut charges will be applied to each order. A pre-cut stocking program is being developed.

Production Saw Cutting

Our cut tolerance is +1/8″/ -0″ (+03/-0 mm) for production cut saw.  We do not charge to cut items for shipping purposes however, additional charges may apply for production cuts (multiple precision cuts).

Plate Plasma Cutting

We have upgraded our plasma cutting unit to a Hypertherm 125.  This means we can support straight-line cuts on plate, regardless of grade, up to 55mm thick.  We stock plate in various thicknesses, grades and physical dimension sizes, and we will straight-line cut plate for shipping purposes.  Our tolerance on plate cuts is -0”/+0.125”

2. Packaging Services

Crates

Our pre-made, high-quality crates are made to withstand long truck shipments and are ISPM 15 compliant.  All non-crated material is placed in heavy-duty tubing or other wood packaging using metal bindings and strong plastic reinforcements. Salayan Steel cannot be held responsible for damage due to driver mishaps or cargo-related incidents.  In the case of product damage due to carrier mishandling or accident, which is properly documented, the carrier involved will be liable.

Specialty Metal Packaging

Salayan Steel recognizes the strict requirements of the Food, Chemical, and Medical industries. We have the appropriate materials to package and handle these sensitive products, such as special banding metals, plastics, and markers. Please be sure to let your salesperson know the requirements you need.

4. Shipping Services

We ship our product both by commercial truck carriers and our partners. Speak with a member of our Sales Team for any special requirements (your designated carrier and/or air freight), and we will strive to accommodate your needs.

*Shipping Damage Claim: It is important to note on receiving papers any damage to the cargo that incurred while in transit via commercial truck carriers.
