Commonly known as one of the world’s most versatile materials, stainless steel is an extremely useful tool for a wide range of industries. One of its forms is the stainless steel plate, which can be applied in construction, food and hospitality, textile, transportation, chemical, and marine industries.

Other characteristics that make stainless steel so desirable include its excellent durability, formability, and top resistance to corrosion.

Common Applications for Stainless Steel Plates

Because stainless steel plates go through a hot rolling process, they possess high levels of durability, strength, and resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for the automotive industry. They are also used in the energy and medical fields, where they offer protection from salt water and harsh chemicals on a daily basis.

Stainless Steel Plate Grades

At Parker Steel, we offer stainless steel plates in 304 or 316. Each grade comes with its own set of characteristics. Our most popular grade includes the 304, which can be easily shaped, or roll formed as a result of its weldability and good corrosion resistance.

Our 316-grade alloy with molybdenum — which increases its corrosion resistance while being particularly protective against acidic environments — provides better overall corrosion resistance and offered great mechanical properties.

Quality

Our stainless steel plates offered from Parker Steel have been manufactured to the highest standards of EN 10088-2 & ASTM A240 and follow the ISO 9001:2015 accredited management system.

Finish

1D

All of our stainless-steel plates are hot rolled annealed with mill scale removed. This surface found on thicker plates will be slightly course with a very low reflective surface finish. This is primarily used in non-decorative applications where the visual appearance is less relevant.
